We collected the documents about the activities from 1910-1930, during which time an American secretary was dispatched to Japan. We also organized them systematically for use in Japanese historical research on physical education and sports. The findings are as follows: 1.The annual and quarterly reports by F.H. Brown in 1914-1948, 1921. (11 cases)2. The contents of the physical works in “Correspondence and reports” in 1913-1930. (57 cases) 3. The documents about F. H. Brown and W. S. Ryan. (73 cases) Finally, we made four recommendations for research subjects: 1. The transition of YMCA physical works following the Great Kanto earth quake. 2. A comparative study about physical works in Asia. 3. A study on the thoughts of the American physical managers. 4.
