| 内容記述 | With the advance of medical techniques, nurses are required to have professional knowledge, however there are only a few studies that have focused on independence experienced by novice nurses. The experiences of nursing assistants as specialists, and the feeling of growth as a nurse were investigated to clarify how independence and professional identity are cultivated thorough such experiences. Participants were eight nurses with over a year of work experience since graduation. Data was obtained from semi-constructional interviews and analyzed qualitatively and inductively. As a result the following four experiences as a nurse that effected development were identified; experience in relationships with senior nurses, experience as a specialist nursing assistant, experience of responsibility leading to feelings of self-worth, and experience of being a member of a medical team. Results suggest that novice nurses improve gradually, based on their nursing experiences in relationship to senior nurses. It is concluded that novice nurses seemingly establish a professional identity through experiences that make them feel responsible and gives them a sense of self-worth | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
