| 内容記述 | Recently, in Japan, consolidation of public owned hospitals can be observed as an increasing phenomenon. Our goal of this paper is to provide an original economic model and analyze the effect of consolidation of public owned hospitals theoretically. In this paper, firstly we show that, if the cost to access to hospitals decreases and the consolidation upgrades a capability of hospital, then the consolidation is efficient to improve welfare for inhabitants of the distinct. However, we also show that, if the congestion cost increases by the consolidation enough, then the consolidation is inefficient. Then, we discuss the validity of consolidation from a viewpoint with economic welfare. | |||||||||||||
