| 内容記述 | Our goal of this paper is to examine a role of public service motivation in providing healthcare services using economic analysis.Generally, healthcare services are similar to public goods and medical stuff has a sense of mission or responsibility in providing services. When healthcare services are provided with such a motivation, it is possible that healthcare policy with monetary incentives reduces efficiency in providing healthcare services. This paper examines a case where a monetary incentive is provided to a person or an organization with public service motivation, and then we focus on the problem of the incentive scheme. We show the importance of public service motivation in providing healthcare services efficiently. Furthermore, we consider various ways to derive the public service motivation from healthcare organizations. | |||||||||
